Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have completed 10+2 (Intermediate) from a recognized board.
  • Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English must be compulsory subjects.
  • Candidates must qualify the NEET UG examination for MBBS admission.
  • The minimum age for admission is 17 years as of 31st December of the admission year.

M.B.B.S. (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery)

M.B.B.S. (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) is the most popular undergraduate medical degree in India. It is the first step for students who aspire to become doctors and build a career in the healthcare sector. The MBBS course provides comprehensive knowledge of medical science, disease diagnosis, treatment methods, surgery, and patient care.

The duration of the MBBS course is 5.5 years, including 4.5 years of academic study and 1 year of compulsory rotating internship in hospitals. The program is designed to develop both theoretical knowledge and practical clinical skills required in the medical profession.

After completing the degree and internship, graduates can register as medical practitioners and pursue higher studies or medical practice.

MBBS Course Structure

The MBBS course duration is 5.5 years, including 4.5 years of academic study and 1 year of compulsory internship. The academic program is divided into three phases that help students build strong medical knowledge and clinical skills.

Phase 1 – Pre-Clinical Subjects (2 Semesters)

The first phase focuses on the basic foundations of medical science. Students study Human Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Bio-Physics, and an introduction to Community Medicine. These subjects help students understand the structure and functions of the human body.

Phase 2 – Para-Clinical Subjects (3 Semesters)

The second phase introduces students to subjects such as Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, Toxicology, and Community Medicine. During this stage, students begin connecting medical theory with disease diagnosis, treatment concepts, and clinical applications.

Phase 3 – Clinical Training (4 Semesters + Internship Preparation)

The final phase focuses on clinical subjects including General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and Community Medicine. Students gain practical experience through clinical postings, hospital training, seminars, case discussions, demonstrations, and patient care activities. This phase prepares students for real-world medical practice and their compulsory rotating internship.
